Tim spent several months working with the Electric Boat Company in Connecticut. While he was there he went to Newport one afternoon to see the finishers from the "Around Alone" race, a 27,000 mile singlehanded sailboat race around the world. He had seen the start of the race in New York City in September of 2002. He was also able to enjoy a couple of evenings with his brother Jack, who lives in Rhode Island.
