The Swiftsure

For Memorial Day weekend, Chris and Tim flew to Victoria, BC, for the annual Swiftsure Regatta. Our race was about 90 miles. At one point we were sailing in 6.5 knots of adverse current. Even though our instruments indicated that we were sailing at 5 knots over the water we were moving backwards at 1.5 knots! The boat we sailed on, a brand new Hanse 400e, is the sky blue boat in the right-middle of the picture.
